Two of my previous projects resulted in Trilium notes and SearXNG running on my home server. Both truly amazing pieces of open source software. Privacy, SearXNG Maybe many people do not care, but I feel my personal data and privacy are important and I know for a fact that most people are unaware of the depth and invasiveness with which they are being monitored, tracked and traced. I can wholeheartedly recommend SearXNG, an open source search engine that aggregates search results and strips all of your personal data from the requests: SearXNG

For several years now I have been using Ubuntu linux as my personal desktop but I never really went too deep into the technical details. I wish to learn more about Linux and become a more proficient, more professional “user”. Online I found the suggestion that Arch linux is a good distro to learn because it gives the opportunity build up the whole system from the bottom up if you choose to not use installer scripts etc.
